Incorporated in 2007, Area 81 is dedicated to enhancing lifestyles and businesses through digital hardware and software.  Through research and development Area81 is always striving to provide customers with the “uber” digital experience because your digital experience is our business.  Area81’s core competencies are web development, software design, and graphic design.  Area81 also regularly strives to develop new and improved technological ideas to be a leader in technology evolution.

Area81 is divided into two divisions, which are for-profit and not-for-profit.  The for-profit is designed to generate income based on services.  Those services include, but are not limited to:  Web site design, software development, and IT project management.  The not-for-profit side is designed to research and develop new technologies that will have a positive impact on society.  The not-for-profit side will operate mainly on technology research and development grants.

Being that Area81 is a small company, they are very particular about the projects they chose to submit proposals for.  Area81 very carefully examines all of the requirements for each RFP and determines its ability to not only meet the requirements, but exceed them.  Area81’s small size is an advantage because it allows them to be extremely agile, giving them the ability to change concepts and directions very quickly and with minimal road blocks.
